Roberto Prosseda

Roberto Prosseda is an Italian pianist born in Latina in 1975. He is known for his performances of Romantic and contemporary repertoire, with a particular focus on the music of Mendelssohn, Rossini, and lesser-known Italian composers. Prosseda has recorded extensively for Decca and Hyperion, and has given recitals at major venues including Carnegie Hall, Wigmore Hall, and the Salzburg Festival. He is also active as a musicologist and has rediscovered and performed numerous forgotten piano works. In addition to solo recitals, he has appeared with orchestras such as the London Philharmonic and the Orchestra dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia.
