Jin, born Kim Seok-jin on December 4, 1992, in Gwacheon, South Korea, is a South Korean singer, songwriter, and member of the globally successful K-pop group BTS. He debuted with BTS in 2013 under Big Hit Music and quickly became known for his warm vocals and charismatic stage presence. As a solo artist, Jin released his debut single 'The Astronaut' in 2022, which topped charts in multiple countries. His solo work blends pop balladry with electronic and rock influences, showcasing his emotive tenor voice. Jin enlisted for mandatory military service in December 2022 and was discharged in June 2024. He has collaborated with artists such as Coldplay and has been recognized for his philanthropy and acting roles prior to his music career.
