Jowell & Randy

Jowell & Randy are a Puerto Rican reggaeton duo formed in the early 2000s by Joel Muñoz Martínez (Jowell) and Randy Ortiz Acevedo (Randy). Emerging from the Puerto Rican urban music scene, they gained prominence with their raw, party-oriented style and explicit lyrics. Their breakthrough came through collaborations with producers like DJ Blass and appearances on influential reggaeton compilations. The duo released the successful album “El Momento” in 2007 and later “Precióso” in 2013, solidifying their status in the genre. They are known for hits such as “Un Booty Nuevo,” “Fuera del Planeta,” and “Shorty,” often working with artists like Wisin & Yandel and Daddy Yankee. Their sound blends reggaeton with hip-hop, dancehall, and Latin trap influences.
