KIX

KIX is an American hard rock band formed in 1977 in Hagerstown, Maryland. They gained prominence in the 1980s glam metal scene with their energetic live shows and anthemic songs. The band achieved mainstream success with their 1988 album Blow My Fuse, featuring the hit single "Don't Close Your Eyes." KIX released several albums on Atlantic Records and later on their own label before disbanding in 1996 and reuniting in 2003. Their sound blends hard rock, glam metal, and glam rock, characterized by catchy hooks and guitar-driven riffs. The current lineup includes original members Steve Whiteman and Ronnie Younkins alongside longtime members Jimmy Chalfant, Mark Schenker, and Brian Forsythe. They continue to tour and released their latest album, Rock Your Face Off, in 2014.
