サカナクション

Sakanaction is a Japanese rock band formed in Sapporo, Hokkaido in 2005. Led by vocalist and guitarist Ichiro Yamaguchi, the group blends electronic, rock, and dance elements into a distinctive sound that has defined much of the Japanese indie scene. They gained national attention with the 2010 single “Aruku Around,” which topped charts and earned multiple awards. Subsequent albums such as “sakanaction” (2013) and “sakanaction 2” (2019) solidified their reputation for intricate production and socially conscious lyrics. The band has performed at major festivals including Fuji Rock and has collaborated with artists across electronic and pop fields. Their music continues to influence younger Japanese acts exploring genre fusion.
