Rahat Fateh Ali Khan

Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is a Pakistani singer and qawwali master born in 1974 in Faisalabad. Nephew and disciple of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, he began performing at age seven and rose to prominence after his uncle’s death in 1997. He blends traditional qawwali with contemporary Bollywood, ghazal, and pop, becoming one of South Asia’s most streamed Sufi vocalists. Notable film songs include “Tere Bin” from the Pakistani drama and “Afreen Afreen” with Coke Studio. He has collaborated with A.R. Rahman, Pritam, and international artists while maintaining a vast catalog of devotional and mainstream recordings.
